This new one bedroom ground floor apartment situated on small resort with pool and gardens, is located in a peaceful area just outside of Albufeira and close to the beautiful beach of Galé.
It has been tastefully furnished and is well equipped for a self-catering holiday. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are open plan with the lounge opening out on to a terrace by the side of the pool.
The apartment will sleep up to 4 - 2 single beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. A cot can also be provided.
The pool is a good size, approximately 18m x 9m and sits in front of the patio. In addition there is a circular paddling pool for younger children, the depth being about 0.4m. There is also a play area for the children. On-site facilities include a bar, snack bar and internet access.
Most amenities are within easy walking distance, including an excellent choice of restaurants, a couple of which are only a few minutes away, a few bars, and a very good supermarket. Beaches are also easily accessible. The nearest are Galé and Lourenço, both approximately a 10 minute walk.
It is a perfect spot to spend a holiday if you want some relative peace and quiet, be able to walk to beaches and restaurants, and near enough to more lively resorts to visit when the mood takes you. It is also a good base from where to explore the Algarve by car.

Location
From Faro Airport, it is approximately 40km, a 40 minute drive.
There is a choice of beautiful sandy beaches in the immediate area, some within walking distance and others a very short drive. Galé and Lourenço are the nearest, being approximately a 10 minute walk. Salgados is about 15-20 minutes. Others within a short drive include Evaristo, Castelo, Praia Grande, Coelha and São Rafael. There are also many small coves scattered along this part of the coast, some only accessible on foot.
Within easy walking distance there is an excellent variety of good restaurants and bars.
Albufeira Old Town is a 7 or 8 minute taxi ride away. Although now a busy resort, it has retained much of its character, with its cobbled streets and a pedestrianised town square and roads leading off. There is a never ending choice of restaurants and bars, a number of music bars and during the summer there is a variety of street entertainment. It is also a good place for those of you who enjoy wandering around shops. As well as the touristic shops there are unusual ones too offering all sorts of crafts, jewellery and clothes.
There is also a long street market where you will find jewellery, handbags, local craft and pottery and other interesting items.
The bustling resort of Armação de Pêra, with its fabulous beach that stretches miles is also a pleasant place to visit. This is only a 10 minute drive away. The town itself has a great atmosphere with lots of good restaurants and bars to choose from. It is still very Portuguese. Take a wander down to Fisherman’s beach and you will see lots of fishing boats moored up on the sand and fishermen in their huts mending their nets ready for their next catch. There are still some “old hut style” cafes on the beach, which sadly are disappearing from many of Portugal’s beaches to be replaced by more modern wooden buildings. During the summer months there are lots of beach sports such as volleyball and a separate area has been sectioned off for this. There are also lots of water sports on offer. If you like walking then there is mile after mile of sandy beach to walk along. The town is also a nice place to stroll through, with lots of winding streets lined with shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
For the energetic there are many activities on offer within easy reach including water sports at the nearby beaches; Tennis at Salgados, Horse Riding at Vale Navio (Albufeira) and at Quinta da Bica (Messines); Boat and Sailing trips from Albufeira Marina and stunning cliff top and beach walks. Bikes can also be hired locally or indeed delivered to the apartment.
Golf courses are plentiful along the Algarve, the nearest being Salgados, which is within walking distance or a very short drive. The 2 new courses at Alcantarilha “Oceânico Faldo” designed by Nick Faldo and “Oceânico O’Connor” are about a 15 minute drive as are the 9 hole courses at Balaia and Pinecliffs. Others, such as the 5 award winning courses at Vilamoura and in the opposite direction Vale de Milho, Gramacho and Pinta (near Carvoeiro) are no more than a 30 minute drive.
The Algarve has some excellent water parks - Zoomarine (where you can swim with the Dolphins) and AquaLand are only a 15 minute car ride away. Slide and Splash and Aquashow are about 30 minutes. There are also buses that will collect you from a point near to the apartment.
For those of you who like relaxation and pampering, then there is an excellent Spa at Herdade dos Salgados, where there is a vast range of treatments on offer.
Car hire is not necessary for your stay at this apartment, but to make the most of your holiday in the Algarve we would recommend it for at least part of your time.
We can arrange personal airport transfers to the villa and have a car delivered to you there should you wish.

Upon booking, a non-refundable 30% deposit is required. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday.
A refundable damage deposit of £150 is required and this is payable when the balance of your payment is made. This will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure, if no damage occurs.
